Olympic Tower in Munich

The Olympic Park in Munich is a very popular excursion destination for getting out into the green with the children without having to travel far. There are so many different possibilities in the Olympic Park that there is something for everyone, be it sports, events, or simply enjoying nature. Regardless of the season, there is always an activity to pursue here.

Ice rink

Especially in winter, the ice rink in the Olympic Park is highly sought after; figure skating and ice hockey are practiced here, or people just skate for fun. There is always pop music, and on Saturday evenings, there is a disco night. Those who do not have ice skates can rent them for a small fee.

In the glazed part of the ice rink, a soccer field was built, and a small landscape for skateboarders was created around the outside.

Olympic Tower

The Olympic Tower also invites many visitors day after day. You can eat or have a coffee at the top, but the prices are insanely high! The best thing is simply the view over Munich; those who have slightly older children should go up the Olympic Tower in the evening. Munich at night is simply fantastic!

Sea Life Aquarium

The latest addition to the Olympic Park is the Sea Life Aquarium. Local fish and, of course, many inhabitants of the ocean romp around here. Unfortunately, the entrance fee is not exactly cheap, but a visit is definitely worth it.

The swimming pool

For little water rats, the swimming pool is a hit; it has a large pool, a pool with a diving tower, a whirlpool, and of course a children's pool for the little ones. Adults can treat themselves in the solarium or the sauna, and those who want to do something for their fitness can tone their muscles a bit in the fitness room.

Events

The Olympic Park in general offers various events almost every weekend. Especially in the summer months, live concerts take place here, there is a summer festival in the form of a fair, and various stalls invite you to shop for clothing and other things again and again.

Outdoor area

Since the Olympic Park is quite large, you have plenty of space here to stroll or simply lie on a meadow. Children especially love this park; it offers a small piece of nature in a big city and lots of fun.

In winter, you can go sledding here wonderfully; the Olympic Hill is perfectly suited for this. Since it has various hills, even the smallest ones can whiz down the mountain, and for the older ones, there has also been the possibility for a few years to conquer the mountain with skis or a snowboard.

Conclusion

There is always something going on in the Olympic Park, and it is also one of the main attractions for tourists. For the people of Munich, it is a small matter of course, but for children, it is the greatest, and it offers the possibility to go on an excursion without having to spend a lot of money.

  1. I can add two more things: the fantastic playground on the back of the Olympic Hill and – yes, for the young parents among us – the BMW Welt, which is not officially part of the Oly-Park, but practically is. Free admission, and cars, motorcycles, shows... Somewhere it hurts my heart to speak for a commercial advertising offer, but the offer is actually unique.
