Who wants to bake a good cake,
must have seven things,
eggs and lard,
sugar and salt,
milk and flour,
saffron makes the cake yellow!
Shove, shove it into the oven.

Notes: The line "Sugar and salt" is often also found as "Butter and salt". The last line is not always added, or sung in standard German as "Shove it into the oven".
