To match your Christmas decorations, you can quickly and easily create original place cards. Whether with small Christmas baubles or fir branches, unique place cards can be created in just a few simple steps, so everyone knows where to sit:
Christmas place cards
You can get incredibly creative with Christmas place cards. Usually, things you already have at home or can easily obtain are enough. With just a few simple steps, you can conjure up an original and unusual place card.
Christmas Bauble Place Cards
You will need:
- Chocolate or muffin liners
- Christmas baubles (depending on the size of the liners, Ikea, for example, has mini Christmas baubles!)
- Paper, solid-colored or in bright colors
For the place cards, place the Christmas baubles into the liners. Write the guests' names on the paper with a nice pen and cut them into strips. Now simply insert the strips into the hangers and distribute them on the table.
Fir Place Card
You will need:
- 1 wooden slice of a fir trunk (approx. 2-3cm long)
- Pine branches
- Hammer + nails
Using the nail and hammer, punch a small hole in the middle of the fir slice. Insert the fir greenery into the hole and attach a bow with a name tag. Done.
Cookies as delicious placeholders
Delicious cookies or tasty gingerbread are also excellent for Christmas place cards. Simply put chocolate icing into a piping bag for light-colored cookies, or use white icing for the gingerbread – then just write the guests' names on the cookies with these – done.
Practical:the guests can eat their place card for dessert.
