Children don't like shampoo in their eyes, even though the bottles keep promising that there will be no tears. Here is a tip on how to avoid it for sure:
No tears when washing children's hair
Vaseline over the eyebrows
Before washing, applya thick (approx. finger-thick) strip of Vaseline over the eyebrows, this forms a protective film and prevents tears!
Washcloth or hands
If the child is older, they can hold their hands over their eyes or hold a washcloth in front of their eyes – this reliably protects against water and foam in the eyes.
Special child safety items
Special child safety items in the form of flexible visor caps made of foam can be purchased. They are variably adjustable to any head size and make the bathing experience, including hair washing, calmer again. Such visor caps are available in stores and here online.
Children's shampoos
Special children's shampoos sting less in the eyes. These have been developed especially for small children's eyes thanks to their mild formula. Tip: Mild shampoos are available from BĂĽbchen or Penaten.
