Beautiful wooden window frames need to be cleaned every now and then. To ensure they really last a long time, here is a tip for maintenance after cleaning:
Maintenance of wooden frames
To enjoy your wooden window frames for longer, rub them with floor wax after cleaning. This seals the surface of the wood and prevents the wooden frame from getting dirty again quickly.
Cleaning wooden frames
Wooden frames can usually be cleaned very well with some warm water and dish soap. If the wood of the frame is painted, a microfiber cloth also helps when washing. Only scrape off coarse dirt very carefully with your fingernail, because if you press too hard, small dents can form. You have to be especially careful with untreated wood.
If the wooden frame is very dirty, you should use cleaning agents specifically for wood from a specialist shop or hardware store.
