Down and feather beds are very low-maintenance, but every now and then they need a little care. Nowadays, down duvets are very often used in households. Here we have collected a few tips on proper care:
Care of feather beds
Do not beat feather beds
Feather beds do not like being beaten; they should only be shaken out, preferably with the window open. This loosens the filling well and allows new air pockets to form.
No direct sunlight
Do not hang down or feather bedding in direct sunlight, as the feathers will become brittle. Shake out and air at an open window in dry weather. Airing removes the moisture from the night.
