A full, blonde mane is certainly a dream for many women – women and also men with naturally blonde hair like to help things along, because only a few are blessed with a sun-kissed blonde hair tone. They tint or dye their hair, get highlights, or use lightening spray. Unfortunately, bleached hair loses its shine quite quickly and looks dull and faded after a few weeks. This makes the hair look straw-like and charged. A condition that women in particular do not appreciate. However, with a few tips and care instructions, you can make your hair shine permanently.
The ultimate care tips for blonde hair
- Anyone who wants to enjoy their new hair color for longer should stock up on special care products for blonde hair. Important here are the shampoo, conditioner, a special treatment, and hair masks. These products are specifically tailored to blonde hair and nourish it optimally so that the blonde of the hair can glow and shine. These products also often contain the natural active ingredient chamomile. Why? This plant has a particularly lightening effect and is therefore very suitable for light hair.
- However, when choosing shampoos, conditioners, etc., make sure that they DO NOT contain chemically lightening substances. These products are not at all suitable for daily care. On the contrary, these series strain the blonde splendor and make it look brittle and unkempt. If you don't want to do without them, you should use such care products at most once a week – they are absolutely not recommended for permanent, daily use.
- Special shine shampoos for bleached hair, on the other hand, are never a bad idea. They provide the hair with the best possible care and shine is ensured for the entire hair.
- Bleached hair is naturally stressed – because the color penetrates deep into the hair and changes its structure. As a result, the hair looks dry and dull quite quickly. However, this condition can be changed by regularly using hair conditioners and treatments. Note: blow-drying can also make the hair look brittle. Shine sprays refresh the appearance and make the hair appear more vibrant.
- Home remedy chamomile: Wash blonde hair with chamomile tea. If you add a little rose water, the hair also gets a pleasant scent.
How do I prevent fading?
- The biggest enemy of blonde hair is the sun. The UV radiation causes the color to fade. However, with sun protection for bleached hair, you can achieve optimal protection – this protects the hair and keeps the color fresh for longer.
- Likewise, Chlorine in the swimming pool is an aggressive opponent to the blonde color. In some cases, a visit to the pool can even cause an unsightly green tint in the light hair. So, with freshly bleached hair, you should avoid chlorinated water.
- If possible, you should also spare your hair the heat of the hair dryer. Air drying is the way to go. However, if you absolutely cannot do without the Hair dryer, you should set a mild heat level and dry the hair quite coolly.
Small tip: Apply lemon juice to the hair after every wash and rinse thoroughly after a short exposure time. The result will surprise you: the hair looks radiantly blonde and shines more magnificently than ever.
