An egg cooker is a practical way to quickly make hard-boiled eggs. Unfortunately, after a while, an unsightly residue forms in the egg cooker. Here is a tip on how to remove it quickly:

Remove limescale in the egg cooker

To get rid of the residue in the egg cooker, vinegar water helps: Pour vinegar water in a 1:1 ratio into the cooker. Leave the mixture of vinegar and water in the cooker for an hour and then clean it with water. The residue should be gone afterwards; otherwise, repeat with a new mixture that contains less water.

Tip: The residue should be removed regularly, as calcified appliances no longer heat properly, overheat faster, and can break as a result. The appliances also consume much more electricity.

Care of the egg cooker

An egg cooker is very low-maintenance and requires hardly any care. It is important that the device is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning. It should also be allowed to cool down well before you start cleaning. The housing, the cover, the inside of the egg cooker, and the egg tray should be cleaned from time to time. Important: never scrape off the residue with sharp objects.
