What is the FUE method?
Follicular Unit Extraction, also known as FUE, refers to a modern technique of hair transplantation. Hair grows in follicular units; a follicular unit (FU) comprises a natural grouping of 1 to 4 hairs, and also includes sebaceous glands, a bit of muscle mass, as well as small nerves and blood vessels. A follicular unit forms the hair held in the skin, which also ensures hair growth again and again. The FUE method therefore refers to the extraction of the follicular units, the interim storage, and the implantation.
The hair roots (hair follicles) are extracted from the neck area – also called the hair wreath – and re-implanted on the bald areas of the scalp. Hair roots from the neck area are preferred because the hair here is genetically programmed to grow over the entire lifespan. The hair on the top of the head or on the sides is not programmed to do so!
This method is similar to a cosmetic procedure, is considered almost painless, and the result looks very natural.
What is the procedure of the treatment

Here, the hair is not removed individually, but in its natural bundling. This process is also called thread-by-thread hair transplantation; one does not have to expect any incisions or scarring.
