Vinegar

Sweat stains on clothing are not only unsightly but sometimes also foul-smelling. Sometimes you cannot remove them with detergent alone, and you might not want to resort to harsh chemicals right away. Here are a few tips on how you can try to remove them with household remedies:

Removing sweat stains

Vinegar

Soak the affected garment in warm vinegar water (ratio 1:1) for at least 1.5 hours and then wash as usual.

Extra tip:Rub the stain with a little dish soap beforehand, then it will come out even better.

Citric acid powder

Mix the citric acid powder with water and dampen the stain with it. It is best to put this in a spray bottle and spray the stain with it. Let it soak in for a short time and then wash as usual. This can be used not only on white but also on dark clothing.

ammonia solution

Diluted ammonia removes sweat stains.

Methylated spirits

Treat the sweat stain with a little rubbing alcohol and remove it.
