A light cake is always a popular detail on the coffee table. Whether it's a marble cake or a chocolate cake – these sweets are very popular and usually quick and easy to make. To ensure the cake turns out really moist, here are a few tips:

Hot tips for an especially delicious cake

Light cake

Sparkling water or soda makes the cake exceptionally light. Simply replace the milk with sparkling water – this makes the batter lighter and, above all, airy. This is due to the carbonation, which loosens the sticky mass. This not only tastes delicious but also provides a real treat for the palate.

Modify ingredients

Modifying recipes is a breeze with marble cake. If you find the marble cake itself boring, you can refine the batter with just a few ingredients. If you want to save calories in the cake itself, replace some of the butter with plain yogurt – this makes the cake fresher. But you can also use tricks with breadcrumbs – after greasing the pan, instead of breadcrumbs or flour, simply use shredded coconut or brittle. This creates completely new flavor nuances.

Keep fresh

Drizzling with Keep the cake fresh longer with fruit is just as easy as it is simple. For example, if you add a mashed banana to the batter, your marble cake will last longer. If you don't like bananas, you can also stir jam into the dark batter; this not only keeps the cake tasty for longer but also gives it a fruity note.

Storage

Nevertheless, you should not leave the fruity marble cake out in the open air. Whether with or without added fruit, the cake should be covered with foil or stored in a cake tin.

Even marbling

There are, of course, plenty of tips for even marbling, but this trick is the most effective. Simply insert a fork anywhere in the batter and pull it through the batter once in a spiral motion. You should make sure to touch the bottom of the baking pan every now and then so that the overall appearance is uniform. This way, you don't just have beautiful patterns on top, but throughout the entire cake batter.

Moist chocolate portion

To ensure the chocolate part of the marble cake doesn't get too dry, simply stir a dash of oil into the cocoa mass; this will make it nice and moist.
