Sounds strange, but it works: to squeaky doors avoid them, sometimes all you need are simple household remedies. Here are the best tips:

Eliminating squeaky doors

Shaving foam

Spray a little shaving foam onto the door hinges, leave it to work for about 10 minutes, and then simply wipe it off – no more annoying squeaking!

Hairspray

If you don't have any shaving foam to hand, you can also use Hairspray instead. Simply give the problem area two short sprays and the doors will stop squeaking.

petroleum jelly

Vaseline is better than regular oil for creaking hinges, because oil dries out very quickly. Vaseline, on the other hand, retains its greasy consistency.

Margarine

Of course, there is also the option of using grease. So if you don't have any technical spray or something similar at home, you can also use margarine (with normal fat content) use. Just be careful: Please do not use butter: it can cause a rancid smell after a while. Simply lift the door off its hinges, briefly rub the hinges with the grease, put the door back in place – done.
