Always highly sought after and a true culinary delight, the Frankfurter Kranz is not only delicious but also a welcome sight at any coffee party. Now, you can of course buy this cake at the bakery around the corner, but between us, a cake of this kind naturally tastes much better when it has been made yourself. It doesn't always have to be the traditional bundt cake or the ever-popular marble cake. For the next birthday party, you can easily conjure up a Frankfurter Kranz – it's easier than you might think. What is special about a Frankfurter Kranz?
The Frankfurter Kranz consists of a
sponge cake batter and a heavenly delicious buttercream. The buttercream has an estimated 1 million calories, but it simply tastes delicious and, besides, you don't eat a whole cake every day. Is this cake allowed to be a sin?Admittedly:How do I make a Frankfurter Kranz myself?
It is best to make the sponge cake batter a day in advance, as it is cut into individual layers. This is not so easy with a fresh cake, so it is recommended to prepare the cake and cover it until the next day.
100g margarine
- 120g sugar
- 5 tablespoons of milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 baking powder
- 150g flour
- The ingredients are mixed well until a homogeneous batter is formed.
- bundt pan
Instructions:
Then the batter is placed in a greased, floured bundt pan and baked at
180°C top and bottom heat for about 25 minutes. The next day, the cake is divided into 3 halves. Experienced hobby bakers can do this quickly with a bread knife. Those who want to play it safe can use the ever-popular thread method.
200g butter (or for the more calorie-conscious version, simply margarine).
The pudding must really be cooled. If you do not follow this instruction, the butter will melt faster than you would like and the entire buttercream will float away. You can no longer frost a cake with that.
Tip:With a hand mixer (use the whisk attachment), you can combine the vanilla pudding with the butter very well. The cream is a great success if it has a
light and firm consistency. Now the first layer of cream is placed on the base, then the next layer of cake, a portion of jam, and buttercream again. Finally, the lid is placed on the cake and everything around it is decorated with buttercream. Finally, add hazelnut brittle or a similar
highlight as a topping all around the cake. With a few dollops of whipped cream on and around the cake, you can add accents according to your taste.
If you don't have the desire or time to whip cream, you can also very well use the
Note:spray can version. Now just finish with candied cherries or alternatively a dollop of jam on the whipped cream peaks
and keep the cake in the refrigerator until consumption. The Frankfurter Kranz is not only delicious, it also looks like you spent hours in the kitchen to make it. Yet, strictly speaking, the cake is ready in an hour.Posted on: 05/02/2012 on Frankfurter Kranz easily make it yourself
