Unfortunately, furniture leaves dents on carpets, which doesn't look very good when rearranging furniture. But here too, there are plenty of tips on how to get rid of the dents very quickly without having to replace the entire carpet:
Ice cubes against dents on the carpet
Take an ice cube and place it on the dent in the carpet. After it has melted, brush the area with an old clothes brush. The dent will no longer be as deep and noticeable!
Tip: even if you mean well – one or two ice cubes are perfectly sufficient. You should focus on quality rather than quantity here. If you use too many ice cubes, you run the risk of them potentially leading to mold formation.
Tackle the dents with an iron
With this method, check how the material reacts to steam on an inconspicuous part of the carpet. Do not work with steam that is too hot; instead, let the steam iron glide over the carpet in circular motions. Now you can work with plenty of steam: first, place a damp cloth over the dent and run the iron over the cloth. Alternative to the cloth: moisten the dent with a spray bottle and then let the steam iron do the work.
After the ironing process, you can roughen the fibers with a brush after a few minutes. Here you can gently move the brush in all directions. Caution: for delicate carpets, do not brush too hard, otherwise the material may mat.
