The Heels often show the first signs of wear. Very annoying, because you don’t want to have to throw away well-fitting shoes just for that reason. Here’s a tip to prevent it:
Protect heels from scratches
Before wearing them for the first time, apply a coat of clear nail polish to the heels. This protects against scratches and cracks!
What can you do if scratches are already present?
Various tricks have proven effective here: with black shoes, you can fill in the scratches with clear nail polish and, after it has dried, touch them up with a permanent marker or shoe polish. However, if brown or other colored shoes are affected, you can of course also use a special shade of nail polish . Simply choose the matching color and carefully apply it to the affected area, let it dry, and you’re done. However, if the damage is too extensive, only a shoemaker can help.
Are there notches or scratches in white shoe heels? Here you can use white correction paint.
Alternatively, using a shoe repair pen is advisable. This pen looks like a permanent marker, and you can work with it like one too, but according to consumer tests the results are better. The paint is thicker and therefore definitely covers nicks and scratches. After drying, the shoe looks like new and scratches are hardly noticeable anymore. With a cost factor of just under €5 you can very easily enhance your favorite shoes again.
