Straws and felt flowers

It's annoying when you have to keep looking for your glass at a party. It's also not great for the host, as the pile of dishes keeps growing. To ensure everyone can always find their glass at a party, you can use this beautiful and inexpensive idea: felt flowers for straws.

Markers for straws – Instructions

Shopping list:

  • Ready-made felt flowers or felt in one piece
  • Scissors (these must be very sharp)
  • Fabric glue
  • Hole punch pliers
  • Straws

Crafting instructions:

Felt is very difficult to cut, so the scissors must be very sharp and clean. The blade should be undamaged, otherwise the felt will fray and it won't look nice. If the cut edge is right but a few fibers are still sticking out, trim them with nail scissors; it will look much better.

Trace the flower onto the felt and cut it out. To do this, cut out a larger and a smaller flower, and in many different colors. Apply fabric glue to the back of the small felt flower and stick it in the center of the larger flower. Let the glued flowers harden first and only then punch a hole in the middle with the hole punch pliers. Now the straw can be inserted and the party can begin.
