For many dishes, garlic provides the finishing touch. Some like this intense flavor more or less. To be on the safe side, we have summarized a few tips here:
Delicate garlic aroma
To round off the soup with just a very delicate hint of garlic, a tea infuser helps. Put 1 peeled garlic clove with a few parsley leaves (these additionally soften the garlic aroma!) into a Tea infuser. Let this simmer in the soup for about 5 minutes and then remove it.
Too much garlic aroma

If you have used too much garlic for a soup or stew, you can still save it with parsley: Put chopped parsley leaves in a tea infuser and let it simmer in the pot until the dish no longer tastes so strongly of garlic.
Frying garlic
Garlic browns very quickly when frying, so always fry all other ingredients in the pan first and add the garlic last.
