Onion salt is often available for purchase and tastes very good for seasoning. Here I have found a simple and economical way to make onion salt yourself:
Make your own onion salt
To make onion salt yourself, cut the top off an onion and sprinkle salt onto the emerging juice. Then scrape it off with a clean knife. You can repeat this process until no more juice comes out.
