Crafting with children – Easter garland

Decorations for the home are a lovely thing. Especially when it is still gray and dreary outside, I think it's wonderful when everything is decorated colorfully. Easter, with its beautiful decoration possibilities, is part of that. I mostly only had things to set up, but thanks to our kindergarten teacher we now have a wonderful Easter garland that I would like to share with you:

Crafting with children – Easter garland

This craft project can be wonderfully made with kindergarten children:

What you’ll need:

• white or not too dark colored paper
• raffia
• Watercolors
• Feathers
• glue for children
• children's scissors
• possibly Glitter

Instructions for the Easter Garland

First, the children can paint the white paper however they like with watercolors. Cut 4-6 large eggs out of the paintings with scissors. Now the eggs are mounted on the raffia. To do this, cut a long piece of raffia string and lay it out on the table. Tie a large loop at one end so the garland can be hung up. Tie in a feather a little distance from the loop. Leave some space again and now glue on the two egg halves. To do this, coat the backs of the eggs with glue and place the string between them, pressing firmly. Tie in another feather and then again two egg halves.

Repeat these steps as often as needed, depending on how long the Easter garland should be. Our children are very proud of their crafts, and I am delighted with the beautiful and colorful Easter decoration.
