Going out to eat with children is sometimes not so easy, because children are full of surprises. They are often loud and want to let off steam and play. In restaurants, this is usually not possible at all, and children are expected to just sit nicely at the table. Unfortunately, it is not a trend to design establishments with children's play corners or even playgrounds. Yet families also like to go out to eat. Here in the Marchfeld, I have found a handful of places where children are welcome, which I would like to recommend here:
Grillranch in Deutsch Wagram
For me, the clear winner in terms of playground and animals in the Marchfeld. Here you can sit outside under a protected tarp in the warm season, and right next to it is the playground for the children. There are swings, climbing opportunities, a little house, and a slide for the children to play on. The grilled food is really very good – the spareribs or steaks are excellent, and there are also small portions for children.
Right next to the restaurant, you can play minigolf. It is especially nice that the minigolf course winds through a small animal park. Here you can observe rabbits, geese, llamas, donkeys, and goats. After eating, definitely take a walk along the fence, because there are a few more enclosures behind the minigolf course where there are goats, donkeys, deer, and pigs.

Heurigenlokal Storch in Gänserndorf
In Gänserndorf, my personal winner when it comes to a playground is the Heurigenlokal Storch. For the children, there is a large garden and a children's playground with a slide, swing, or seesaw. In summer, you can dine in the beautiful guest garden while the children make use of the play equipment.
At the Heurigenlokal Storch, selected regional products are freshly prepared with down-to-earth cuisine. The food is very good and there is a lot of choice: there are small dishes for children, and vegetarians as well as those with a sweet tooth will quickly find something here.

Weydner Wirtshaus in Oberweiden
The Weydner Wirtshaus is, for me, a little jewel in this area and therefore my favorite when it comes to good cuisine. The dishes taste excellent; there is traditional Austrian cuisine and dishes with refined nuances. On the menu, you can find juices from organic farmers in the area, and good quality is also the top priority for the food, which you can definitely taste. The service is extremely friendly, and you immediately feel as if you were at home with friends.
Play boxes and children's chairs are available for children. In the courtyard, children can run around and visit the neighboring pony farm. Anyone planning a large event can rent the event hall on the upper floor, where there is a large room with a stage and bar as well as a large terrace. Weydner Wirtshaus has been renovated with love and very good taste.

Pizzeria Diabolino in Deutsch Wagram
The Pizzeria Diabolino in Deutsch Wagram is ideal for a meal with children when the weather is nice. In the beautiful, partially covered guest garden, there is a corner intended just for the children. Here, the children can shovel in the sandbox, slide, or swing.
The food is very good and ranges from Italian specialties to Austrian home-style cooking to Mexican cuisine. Small children's meals are available for children, and desserts can also be ordered in a child-friendly way. At lunchtime, a menu with soup and dessert is offered, and all dishes can also be delivered.

Gasthaus zur Zuckerfabrik
At the Gasthaus zur Zuckerfabrik in Leopoldsdorf, there is plenty provided for the children. The little ones are offered a play den in the restaurant, and in the warm season, a playground in the garden.
The children can draw or solve a quiz; furthermore, the children receive their own menu to choose their favorite food. Parents can enjoy seasonal and regional delicacies from the Genusswirt and founding member of the Genussregion in peace. The food tastes really very good, only the ambiance in the inn could, in my opinion, be improved a little.

Ideenbäckerei Geier in Strasshof
In Strasshof, the Ideenbäckerei Geier is ahead in terms of child-friendliness. In the café, a large children's playroom has been set up in the basement, where the children can play wonderfully.
It is really great that there is a camera here where you can watch your children very well while you enjoy the delicious pastries and your iced coffee. This room can also be used very well for children's birthday parties.
