Chili

In many dishes, chili peppers are specified for a certain level of heat. However, if you don't like things too spicy, you can take some of the fire out of the chili pepper:

Reducing the heat of chili peppers

Here are 2 tips to take the heat out of chili peppers:

  • First, cut open the chili and remove the seeds from the inner walls.
  • If it is still too spicy, soak the peppers in cold water for about 30 minutes before processing them.

Reducing heat while cooking

If the dish has become too spicy anyway, the following products can help:
  • Coconut milk
  • Honey
  • Whipping cream
  • Yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar if there is too much curry paste

It is best to drink a glass of milk or eat a piece of bread. The fat in the milk breaks the connection to the pain receptor, so the pain can no longer be transmitted to the brain. Now I understand why there are always cocoa drinks at snack bars ?
