A proper roast pork with a crispy crust is worth the indulgence. Why not make it yourself at home? Here are a few tips to ensure your roast pork turns out truly great:

Crispy crust

Salt water

To give the roast pork an extra crispy rind, brush it with a little salt water 5-10 minutes before the end of the roasting time and then roast it at a high temperature again.

Beer

Instead of salt water, you can also use beer. Baste the roast with it a few times while baking.

Flour

You can also get a crispy crust by dusting the rind with flour.

Beer and honey

The roast gets a nice crust if you baste the meat with beer a few times and brush it with honey shortly before it is done. Then roast for another 10 minutes at a high temperature.

Roast gravy with apple juice

Apple juice can be used very well as roast gravy. The meat is seared as usual and then topped up with apple juice. A slightly tart direct juice is recommended.

Reheating roast from the previous day

Aluminum foil

Grease aluminum foil and wrap the leftover roast in it, then put the whole thing in the ovenand to warm up. Done!
