If you have the opportunity to work from home, set up your home office according to your individual preferences. In a separate room, you can go about your work undisturbed and without distractions. Below you will find some suggestions for designing your workspace.

Find ergonomic office furniture at Chefsessel Test

The desk and chair are the most important pieces of furniture in your home office. You will be sitting there for your entire working day. Therefore, make sure you feel comfortable. The table should offer enough space for your PC and other utensils. To maintain your health and avoid back and posture problems, invest in an ergonomically shaped, height-adjustable office chair. At Chefsessel Test you will find high-quality models that have been tested for quality and design.
To avoid distraction, try to keep your workspace tidy. Sufficient storage space in the form of shelves, mobile pedestals, or drawers in the desk will help with this. In a large room, there is space for a break corner. Place a comfortable armchair or a couch there for thinking and coffee breaks.

Designing your own home office

Set up your home office simply and without distractions. You can add accents with a colorful rug or curtains. A personal item, such as a family photo, is also suitable for this. Use decoration sparingly. Plants have a positive effect on performance. They improve air quality and your well-being.
With natural light, you stay awake and active while working. A workspace near a window is suitable for this, provided it does not distract you. For artificial light sources, choose cool rather than yellowish light to stay productive. Use a ceiling spotlight to illuminate the entire room. With a desk lamp, you can direct the light exactly where you need it.

Do not sit with your back to the door so that you are not surprised by household members entering. If necessary, set up a space in your office for your pet, if you have one. It has a positive effect on your work.

  1. This article is not particularly detailed, but it still contains the requirements to be able to prove a home office to the tax office. This means that some of the costs can be deducted to reduce taxes, and that is a nice gesture. (In contrast to the 50cm desk space shared with a sewing machine and the like...)
