Crafting a paper flower garland with children

When it gets colder and darker outside early, it's a wonderful time to do crafts with the children. Most children are fired up when they get to cut and glue. My children are currently crazy about glitter and glue. Here I have another wonderful craft from our kindergarten teacher. Because this way, you can bring flowers into the rooms even during autumn and winter:

Making a flower garland out of construction paper and felt with children

What you’ll need:

• Long green felt strip
• colored construction paper
• colorful tissue paper
• possibly Glitter
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue

Instructions:

Cut out beautiful flowers in 2 sizes from the colorful construction paper. It is best to use the first two flowers as templates so that the children can simply trace them onto the following paper with a pencil and cut them out. If the children are not yet very good with scissors, have the flowers ready for them.

Cut a long strip from the felt and lay it on the table. Now the large flowers are glued on with glue. Then attach the smaller flower onto the larger one with the glue. Finally, form small balls from the tissue paper and attach them to the center of the flowers with the glue.

If you like, you can decorate the flowers with glitter.
