Yo-yo effect, counting points, feel-good weight – many women have dealt with these things more than once in their lives. A diet does not always just serve the purpose of a smaller clothing size, but is often also necessary to eat healthily. There are endless suggestions as to what a healthy diet should look like. The ideas range from a diet without carbohydrates to very one-sided diets, such as cabbage soup fasting or avoiding sugar and fats. A suitable middle ground is often difficult to find. In fact, a healthy lifestyle brings many advantages.
The feeling of a balanced diet
The human body reacts very differently to the food it is fed. Likewise, it cannot be said for any body in general terms what the ideal diet should look like. There are a few basic things that are probably known to most people. These include the fact that sugar and sugar substitutes increase insulin levels, which slows down the metabolism for that time, making it more likely that weight will be gained. Furthermore, basic values such as BMI are known. However, even this is not generally meaningful, as muscles are heavier than fat, which means that even professional athletes can have below-average constellations in terms of the ratio of height to weight according to the BMI.
But a healthy diet does not actually contain any absolute prohibitions. The food should just be in a reasonable ratio to each other. This also means that chocolate or a fattier cheese can certainly be eaten. However, what counts here is that such "calorie bombs" are not the rule and are perceived as luxury foods, not as essential staple foods. A healthy diet is more than counting calories and measuring circumference. The advantages are obvious: for example, excessive fat consumption can also cause the organs to become fatty, which makes any kind of movement difficult.
Likewise, the body needs the supply of substances that it does not produce itself or does not produce sufficiently. These include omega-3 fatty acids or certain vitamins. But when it comes to luxury foods, one in particular carries special weight: alcohol. In excess, it leads to impairment of brain performance, blood circulation, and liver and kidney diseases. However, a glass of wine on some days, i.e. as an exception, is attributed a definitely heart-protecting effect. Efficient diets at a glance show the way to a personal and life-appropriate diet. The middle ground is always the healthiest.
