I love wool blankets because they are so wonderfully warm and cozy. I just hate having to wash them because they often lose their shape and don't look nice afterwards. However, there is a trick to prevent this from happening.
Washing wool blankets correctly
To ensure you can enjoy your wool blankets for a long time, you should pay attention to the label. Only wash the blanket at the temperature indicated, but ideally by hand. Many washing machines now have wool cycles that guarantee a gentle wash (without spinning too fast!). Always use a special wool detergent.
Drying wool blankets correctly
Fold the wool blanket into a triangle after washing and hang it over the clothesline this way. Nothing will lose its shape anymore.
Extra tip:Never dry wool blankets in the tumble dryer!
