Rechargeable batteries

Rechargeable batteries are in many devices (digital cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, etc.) and are very practical. The only annoying thing is that they run out so quickly. That's why I've collected a few tips here to extend the life of rechargeable batteries.

Proper Charging

First of all, proper charging is important. Always wait until the battery is almost empty and avoid frequent partial charges. Although this memory effect is no longer present in the latest lithium-ion batteries, I prefer to play it safe here. Because especially with my mobile phone, it annoys me when the battery runs out so quickly again.

Proper storage

When the batteries are fully charged, store them in a cool and dry place. Above all, they should be kept away from other metallic objects (e.g., keys). A metallic conductor can, with bad luck, cause a short circuit in the battery and thus damage the device.
