If lumps have formed in the paint, you can simply strain them out. The best method is using an old nylon stocking as a sieve.
Removing lumps from paint
nylon stocking
Test beforehand whether the paint is fluid enough to use this method. If so, simply brush the paint through the stocking. Please dispose of the residue and the nylon stocking in hazardous waste.
Wire mesh
Or you can take a wire mesh, cut a circle large enough to fit into the paint bucket, and simply let it sink into the paint. This way, the paint lumps are pressed to the bottom. A discarded whisk is excellent for stirring the paint.
