Personally, I really like minced meat patties, but preparing them isn't that easy for me, because somehow I never manage to get them cooked through without them turning black. Here is a really great and simple recipe for minced meat patties with feta cheese and bell pepper that are finished in the oven (and don't turn black!):
Minced meat patties with feta cheese
Here is a delicious and simple recipe for perfect minced meat patties with feta cheese
What you’ll need:
- 500 g ground meat
- 1 bread roll
- 1 bell pepper
- 1/2 bunch of oregano
- 1 onion, diced
- 150 g feta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 3 tsp paprika powder, sweet
- Olive oil for frying
- Ovenproof dish
Instructions:
Soak the bread roll in a bowl of lukewarm water for 30 minutes. Then place in a sieve, squeeze out, and tear into pieces. Preheat the oven to 180° C. Clean the bell pepper and dice it finely, chop the oregano, and cut the feta cheese into 8 cubes. Sauté the onion in 1 tbsp of oil until translucent, add the bell pepper, and let it sauté for about 5 minutes. Let it cool down a little.
Meanwhile, mix the minced meat, egg, bread roll, oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika powder in a bowl. Now add the onion and bell pepper to the meat mixture and mix well. With moistened hands, form 8 meat patties, place a piece of feta cheese in the center, and seal well with the meat dough.
Add some oil to a large pan and sear the patties vigorously on both sides. Place the patties in an ovenproof dish and finish baking in the oven at 180° C top and bottom heat for approx. 15 minutes.
