Series are becoming increasingly popular because they are usually not as long and are more entertaining than movies. As a self-confessed series fan, I am always interested in where the newest and best series are playing. Currently, series with walking undead are all the rage and are also at the top of my 'list': whether vampires or zombies, these series are currently being devoured by me. But to actually meet an undead person in Vienna? I think I would run away, and you? Shall we try it out sometime: Sky Austria is now offering a suitable campaign directly in Vienna called Scary Shelter. Curious? Then I have more information here:
The Scary Shelter campaign by Sky Austria
On the occasion of the series premiere of the zombie series "The Walking Dead", Sky impressively shows how the real world can connect with digital content from the series and be perceived as real. Disguised as a poster at a bus stop, it suddenly comes to life and an undead person approaches the waiting passersby. It is fascinating that the background represents the surroundings, making it look even more real and, of course, really scaring people. In the video, it is funny to see how the people waiting cannot quite believe that an undead person is suddenly wreaking havoc in the middle of Vienna. Everyone gets scared and some even run away completely; only one is brave and dares to go behind the bus shelter and notices that he can participate in the video himself.
But how was this achieved? Here, the environment is captured live by means of an attached camera, while at the same time actors were prepared as zombies and recorded. These two videos are superimposed and create the feeling that it is reality. If the passerby goes to the other side of the screen, they can also participate and be seen. Anyone who would like to try this out should head to the inner Siebensternplatz stop, Siebensterngasse/Kirchengasse in the 7th district of Vienna. Here we have an online video where a few passersby were filmed, see for yourself:
The best series on Sky Austria
Sky offers over 100 new series launches and season premieres; many series are made available immediately after their US broadcast. It is practical that the series can be watched on demand, so that everyone can put together their own program here. Sky is thus becoming the 'House of Series', because such a large and current selection is remarkable. In Austria, it is quite rare to be able to see series so soon after their US start.
Currently, Sky is captivating series fans with the start of the current 5th season of the cult series "The Walking Dead". This American television series by Frank Darabont is set in the Atlanta metropolitan area and shows the struggle of a small group of survivors after a global zombie apocalypse.
