Marzipan is a delicious sweet and consists mainly of blanched almonds and sugar. Once the marzipan has been taken out of its packaging, it can become hard. So that it can still be used, here is a tip:
Marzipan becomes soft again
What you’ll need:
- Kitchen towel
- Water
Instructions:
Moisten a kitchen towel with a little water and wrap the marzipan in it for about 2 hours. Afterwards, the marzipan will be soft again and can be processed further.
Storing marzipan
Opened marzipan is best stored airtight in the refrigerator. Cling film, freezer bags, or plastic containers are very suitable for storage. In this airtight packaging, the marzipan can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks. If the marzipan is not sealed airtight, it will dry out and become hard as a result.
