Using Advocaat as a glaze for a cake

Advocaat glaze with instant gelatin powder

What you’ll need:

  • Eggnog liqueur
  • Instant gelatin powder

Instructions for the Advocaat decoration:

Stir the Advocaat with a little Instant gelatin powder, this helps to ensure the Advocaat doesn't immediately run off all sides, and pour the mixture over the cake.

Advocaat glaze with powdered sugar

Ingredients:

  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Advocaat

Instructions:

Put the powdered sugar into a bowl and pour the Advocaat over the sugar. Stir the mixture until smooth with a spoon – do not stir too much here so that no air bubbles are incorporated into the glaze. The glaze is perfect when it coats the back of the spoon evenly. Now you can coat the baked goods with the glaze.
