Buying healthy fruit and vegetables – ideally regional and seasonal, that is something one should keep in mind when shopping. Especially here in the Marchfeld region, a great deal is grown and sold practically right on our doorstep. I have my own personal list of providers that offer organic fruit and vegetables in the Marchfeld region, along with my experiences with them:

Bachfeldhof in Gänserndorf
Right off the bat, my favorite: Everything at the Bachfeldhof self-service farm shop is offered regionally and fresh. You can buy: eggs from happy chickens, fresh fruit and vegetables, really good jams, spreads, honey, compote, pasta, juices, wine, and fine liqueurs (definitely try the eggnog!) and much more. Baked goods made with love, such as cakes or bread, are also offered time and again. The dairy products are from the Milchhof Lang in Pillichsdorf.
The pastries are absolutely fantastic; on request, tortes, cakes, punch cakes, coconut domes and much more are conjured up here.
Meat can also be purchased here; those who would like to place larger orders can do so via WhatsApp or telephone and then simply pick them up.
You can pay easily with cash or a debit card. The jars can be returned.
Big plus: Large selection, fresh quality, also great items if you want to put together a gift basket. I can highly recommend the jams, juices, liqueurs (did I mention the eggnog yet?), or compote here. There is always something new seasonally, such as baked goods for Christmas (Christmas stollen, eggnog stars), meat, or gifts for New Year's Eve.
The opening hours are wonderful: you can shop here from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Personal experiences: I am thrilled and go there regularly. I have already bought quite a few things and am extremely satisfied with everything: pasta, jam, compote, juices, liqueurs (you know what you have to taste first?), Christmas stollen, eggs, vegetables, yogurts. I always bring shopping bags with me now, as I usually buy more than I can carry.
The opening hours are great too; just last Friday I only noticed in the evening that I had run out of eggs, and at 8 p.m. I was still able to do some great shopping (of course not just eggs).

Adamah BioHof in Glinzendorf
The Adamah BioHof in Glinzendorf offers a wide range of fruit and vegetables, as well as many other organic foods, such as bread, sausage and meat, milk and cheese, organic juices, drinks, and much more. All food comes from controlled organic farming. You can buy the wonderfully fresh goods in their own organic shop just 10 km from Vienna or at many market stalls. The organic box service is very practical. Here, the desired products are delivered to your home in a 'Kisterl' (small box). In their own webshop you can put together your desired products or order a subscription for a box right away. There is already a large selection here, such as smoothie boxes, vegetable and/or fruit boxes, or cheese and sausage packages. For families with children, there is a special mother-child box. If you don't like something, you can exchange it for something else before the order deadline.
A tip is the farm festival, usually in September, where there is a great children's program, musical highlights, and of course fine organic food and drinks. Furthermore, courses are offered time and again, for both children and adults.

Personal experiences: We have been getting the fruit and vegetable box for years, occasionally the mother-child box, and we are thrilled. In the meantime, a few things have been added, such as spreads, juices, or the Zotter chocolate that we tried. Everything has always been top-notch and worked out great so far.
