If the toilet is clogged again and you don't have a plunger at hand, there's no need to despair. Here are a few tips on how you can still clear the blockage.
Clearing a clogged toilet with household remedies
Use a toilet brush
Blockages can often be cleared with a toilet brush.
Paper towel roll and trash bag
If there is no toilet brush at hand, wrap the inside of a paper towel roll (the cardboard tube) in a trash bag and use it to clear the blockage.
Hot water
Another way to get a clogged toilet clean again is to pour hot water into it by the liter in the hope that the problem will "dissolve". Unfortunately, this does not work if the water is already up to the rim.
Reaching into the toilet in an emergency
In an emergency, you have to remove the blockage by hand; if no rubber gloves are available, simply put two trash bags over your hand.
