Homemade liqueur is not only wonderful as a gift, but also for yourself. Here you know what's inside and you can mix your own liqueur with your favorite ingredients according to your taste. Here I have a very good recipe for a chocolate liqueur:
Make your own chocolate liqueur
What you’ll need:
- nice 1 L bottle with cap (available in supermarkets, Amazon
)
- funnel (available in supermarkets, Amazon
)
- 100 g milk chocolate couverture
- 75 g sugar
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 500 g whipping cream
- 25 g honey
- 300 ml mild light rum (approx. 40%)
- possibly decoration, such as ribbons, stickers, nice cards, etc. (available in stationery stores, Amazon
)
Instructions:
First, chop the couverture and melt it in a bowl over a hot water bath. Mix the sugar with the cocoa powder and gradually stir in 100 ml of cold water to form a liquid mass. Bring the heavy cream to a boil in a pot and stir in the cocoa-sugar mixture with a whisk. Now remove the pot from the heat and add the melted couverture and honey. Let this mixture cool down a little.
Now mix the rum into the cooled chocolate-cream mixture and blend until smooth with an immersion blender. Pour the liqueur into a bottle – preferably using a funnel – and seal well.
Store the chocolate liqueur in a cool, dark place – but not in the refrigerator.
Shake well before serving.
