A money gift can be the biggest wish for many occasions. Whether it's for weddings, teenagers who prefer to go shopping themselves, or birthdays – money as a gift is always appropriate. But how do you present it in an original way? The simplest thing is, of course, 'just' a card or an envelope. If you want to give something 'more', you can recreate the personally filled chocolate box. Here is my guide for it:
Cash gift: box of chocolates with money
What is needed
- empty chocolate box
- small change, banknotes
- Tixo
- Scissors
- Decoration: possibly small muffin
 or Praline molds
- possibly for sticking on a self-adhesive foil
Instructions
Remove the 'real' chocolates from a chocolate box. If you like, place small muffin or chocolate paper liners into the chocolate mold or use the empty mold. If you are gifting banknotes, fold them to fit the size of the chocolate mold. The coins look like chocolates if you stick beautiful rhinestones or artificial flowers on them with a small roll of tape. Here are a few examples of how you can make chocolates out of money:

Money chocolates in funnel shape
Rolls in a funnel shape look very elegant. To do this, roll up the banknote like a cone. Stick the ends together with a small roll of tape. It looks even more elegant if the money cones are inserted into beautiful paper. For this, e.g., roll a piece of gold paper into a cone just like the banknote, only slightly smaller than the banknote, and also stick it with a small roll of tape. Insert the money cone into the gold cone and place it in the chocolate box.
Money rolls as chocolates
To do this, roll the banknote into a roll and stick it with a small roll of tape. The rolls can be decorated with rhinestones or tied together with a beautiful ribbon.
Banknote & coin chocolates
Here, banknotes and coins can also be combined. To do this, fold a banknote lengthwise twice and roll it into a circle, sized for a 2-euro coin, for example. Stick the banknote together with a small roll of tape. Now place the 2-euro coin on the banknote roll and fix it with a longer strip of tape across the coin.
Stick an artificial flower or a rhinestone on the coin with a small roll of tape.
Coin towers as chocolates
Small towers made of several differently sized cent coins also look great, always decorated with a rhinestone or a small flower.
Also stick a strip of tape over the entire 'money tower' of cent coins and add a small roll of tape on top for a rhinestone.

Decorating the money chocolate box
The box can also be decorated with colorful banners, beautiful photos, and lettering. I find the idea very funny if, for example, several people are contributing, to stick photos of the friends on the back instead of the explanation for the chocolates. The text could be slightly modified from the chocolate box and read something like "A fine selection of the finest friends".
I only covered the lid with a self-adhesive foil and replaced 'Chocolate Name Collection' with the name of the recipient: e.g., 'Sabine’s Collection'.
Extra tip: The chocolates can also be packed separately and gifted as well.
