It has certainly happened to every woman at some point – you pushed the lipstick up a little too high and then it happened: the lipstick broke off. But you don't have to throw the lipstick away because of that. Here is a tip on how to save it:

Repair broken lipstick

What you’ll need:

  • Plastic wrap
  • Freezer compartment
  • Lipstick
  • Lighter
  • Kitchen roll or cosmetic tissues

Instructions:

  • Place the lipstick bullet for about 20 minutes on a piece of cling film in the freezer.
  • During this time, place the lipstick base, a lighter, and a few pieces of kitchen paper or cosmetic tissues on the kitchen or living room table (depending on where you have more light for your repair work).
  • After the lipstick has been able to cool down a bit in the freezer, the actual procedure can begin. The lipstick is picked up with a cosmetic tissue and carefully heated at the break point with the lighter. Please do not scorch it, but proceed carefully. Now the bullet is immediately pressed onto the base. It is important to ensure that you target the break point as accurately as possible. After a few seconds, the work is done, the lipstick is back in place! Now the entire lipstick can be put back in the freezer for 2-3 hours before it can be used again.

The best part about it: it really works – anyone willing to go to the little bit of trouble will not regret it. With careful work, the lipstick works like before and holds rock solid.
