Dyeing eggs for Easter is a beloved tradition for many, especially when children are around. By dyeing them yourself, you can create beautiful, unique pieces, and the children have a lot of fun doing it. Here I have a few tips for dyeing Easter eggs so that they turn out truly uniquely beautiful:

To ensure the eggs take the color well, rub them down with the following household remedies:

Lemon juice
Vinegar
Dishwashing detergent

Then rinse well.

Intense color

It is best to hard-boil the eggs in the dye bath and then let them soak in it while cooling; this makes the color more intense. Take the eggs out of the bath with a spoon from time to time to check the color intensity. The longer the egg stays in the dye bath, the stronger the color will be.

Shiny eggs

To make the eggs shine beautifully, add a few drops of Cooking oil onto them and rub the eggs carefully with it. It also works very well with a bacon rind. This also brings out the color beautifully.

Dyeing blown-out eggs

When taking blown-out eggs out of the dye bath, you should ensure that the dye can also drain out from the inside immediately. Then rinse under running cold water and place on a kitchen towel to dry.

After drying, the eggs can be beautifully decorated or painted further.
