Carnival in Venice is one of the most elegant costume festivals. Above all, the beautiful masks catch the eye. Anyone who wants to bring a little of this flair into their own home should try this table decoration.

Shopping list
- 1 large tablecloth or fabric in the desired base color
- 1-2 medium-sized cloths or fabrics in the 2nd desired base color
- Napkins
- Confetti
- Venetian masks, 1-2 large ones and one per guest
- possibly candles
Color selection and basic elements
First, you have to decide on 2 base colors, such as black and white, red and gold, or red and white. Then you need a tablecloth in one of the base colors (you can also buy the fabric by the meter). Furthermore, 1-2 medium-sized cloths for the center of the table and napkins, where both base colors are represented. If you are skilled, you can also buy fabric by the meter here and sew it yourself. Furthermore, confetti in the base colors and beautiful Venetian masks (either make them yourself out of construction paper or buy them made of fine fabric). Depending on the size of the table, 1-2 larger masks and a smaller one per plate.
Table decoration
First, spread the tablecloth on the table. Drape the medium-sized cloth loosely in the middle and place the large Venetian mask on it. Distribute small masks on the plates. The table looks striking due to the masks, so not much more conspicuous decoration should be distributed on the table.
Scatter confetti over the entire table and drape the napkins in the wine glasses. Arrange beautiful solid-colored candles in between and the Carnival in Venice can begin in the dining room.
