Children love to hide and enjoy playhouses. To save a little money, you can also build a playhouse yourself. Here we have tips and ideas:
Make a playhouse for children yourself
Cardboard playhouse
What you’ll need:
- large cardboard boxes
- utility knife
- possibly wide adhesive tape
- pens
- Decorations: glitter, paper flowers, rhinestones, etc.
Instructions:
Place a large cardboard box on its side with the open side facing sideways. Now cut out windows on the sides with the utility knife, or just cut them like flaps so that the children can close the shutters. To prevent the house from breaking easily, it can be reinforced with adhesive tape. The children can paint and decorate the cardboard box in bright colors.
To make the house bigger, several cardboard boxes can be placed next to each other and glued together to create a long tunnel.
Extra tip:A small tower can be made from a small cardboard box. To do this, cut a hole in the existing cardboard house and place the second, smaller box on top. Assemble the 'roof' with 2 panels and the children have a lookout.
Playhouse made of table and bed sheet
What you’ll need:
- table
- bed sheet
- fabric markers
- Scissors
Instructions:
For this, place an old bed sheet over a table. You can then paint it nicely with windows and doors etc. and cut out entrances. The children can easily do the decorating themselves, the more they will love it.
Playhouse made of wooden playpen
What you’ll need:
- old wooden playpen
- plywood board
Instructions:
To do this, set up the old wooden playpen in the desired location. Mount a plywood board as a 'roof' and remove a few bars so that the child can climb in.
