Make New Year's Eve hostess gifts - lucky streak in a jar

Party favors are always welcome and often quick to make. Hosts are sure to appreciate a little something for New Year's Eve, too. We were very happy to receive this craft from the daughter of a dear friend. With simple means, something very special was conjured up: the lucky streak in a jar. Find out how it works and what you need here:

What you’ll need:

Instructions:

Apply glue to the surface of the screw-top lid and spread the glitter over it. A suitable New Year's decoration, such as a horseshoe, cloverleaf, or chimney sweep, is glued in the center. Stickers or 3D figures can be glued on here. Let the decorated lid dry well.

Meanwhile, make the cards. To do this, cut the construction paper into rectangles of any size and use a pen to write the text "Your lucky streaks 20xx" (with the appropriate year!) on them. If you like, you can also decorate these cards with stickers, glitter, or similar items. Punch a hole (or a flower or similar shape) at the edge so that it can be attached to the ribbon.

Tie a ribbon around the screw-top jar and attach the card to it. Fill the jar with rubber bands – we got colorful rubber bands, they look great.

Finally, screw the jar shut tightly and the New Year's Eve party favor is ready.

The jars shown in the photo were crafted by a friend of my children. I am absolutely thrilled with how great she did and think this idea is really super. What do you think?
