Simply store the box upside down (i.e., head over heels!), so the ink lasts longer.

Store stamp pads in a cool place

Keep the stamp pad well closed and store it in a cool place. Never store the stamps near a radiator. If the stamps are only used for children's crafts, simply store them in a box in the basement or another cool place.

Refilling stamp ink

The sponge in a stamp pad always needs moist stamp ink. Therefore, refill the stamp pad with stamp ink from time to time or moisten the surface with a few splashes of water.

Cleaning stamps

For perfect stamping results, stamps should be cleaned after some time. Do not use aggressive cleaners under any circumstances. Specialized Stamp cleaner are offered in specialist shops that do not attack the stamp surface. If you don't want that, use a soft brush, a soft toothbrush, or a damp cloth and a mild dish soap to remove ink residues. To protect the surface, sparingly grease the surface of the stamp with baby oil or udder cream. Moist baby wipes are also very suitable for cleaning a stamp; the baby oil they contain simultaneously cares for the stamp plate.

To drive a Metal stamps to clean it, press it into hot wax (ideally sealing wax). Leave the stamp in the wax until the wax has completely cooled down. Then carefully peel off the wax to easily remove ink residues or discolorations.

Extra tip: To prevent discoloration, it is recommended to store the stamps on a stamp holder or stamp carousel.
