Crafting and painting with children is a fun idea for Carnival too. Simple household items can make the paintings even more beautiful. Here, streamers become beautiful curls and muffin liners become big eyes. It is great to see with what zeal and creativity children decorate their pictures. Curious? Here I have a guide that can serve as a template:
Crafting funny carnival pictures with children
What you’ll need:
- white drawing paper
- colorful pens (e.g., felt-tip pens or colored pencils or oil pastels, etc.)
- Straws
- Balloons
- Aluminum foil
- Pralines– and muffin linersmade of paper
- streamers
- crepe paper
- fabric balls
- Googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
First, faces are drawn on the paper with a pen and colored in with colorful pens. In our examples, felt-tip pens were used, but all kinds of pens can be used. Depending on the age of the child, the faces can be pre-drawn by the child themselves or by a parent. Now it's time to decorate. There are no limits to the imagination here. The child can attach all the utensils decoratively to the clown heads.
Straws or streamers are glued on as funny hair, or paper candy cups as big eyes. The crepe paper can be folded and glued on as a large colorful bow, or twisted into balls for funny colorful curls. A wide variety of craft materials or household items can be used here. Children enjoy decorating with everyday objects and great things come out of it. Here I have a few templates for you:
