Put together your own craft cart for craft supplies

My daughter and I love crafting and consequently have a lot of craft supplies. Paper, pens, and glue are needed in various places around the house. At first, I had everything in boxes, which unfortunately is very confusing. Especially with paper and pens. Then I happened to see a great idea in a forum for twin moms: a craft cart. I thought for a long time about whether it would just get in the way or if it would actually be super practical. Now I've taken the plunge and I think it's super practical. It is much clearer than storing everything in boxes or on shelves. You are also super flexible: thanks to the wheels, the craft cart can be used in different rooms. It is currently set up in my office, but also often in my daughter's room. If I want to do some crafting in the evening, it is often next to the living room table. I am thrilled and therefore do not want to withhold this craft tip from you:

What you need for this:

• a serving cart (we used the RÅSKOG from Ikea)
• Containers for hanging (e.g., SUNNERSTA from Ikea), we used 6 pieces
• Bag for hanging (e.g., SKÅDIS from Ikea), we only used 1 of these

My daughter and I were able to assemble the Ikea serving cart quite easily. The containers (also from Ikea) can be easily hung on the rolling cart. We also attached the Ikea bag to the side.

How to organize the craft cart:

• The bottom shelf: here we put all the colored paper and craft paper
• The middle shelf: here we put a box of colored pencils, punch sets, and cases with glitter rolls.
• The top shelf: here are 2 punch sets with scissors, colorful adhesive tapes, lace ribbons, and lots of glitter decorative stones in small boxes. A self-decorated can with pencils and small stamps can also be found there.
• In the bag: here we have stored more colored paper.
• In the 6 containers: here we have stored lots of pens, Zen pens, and glue as well as scissors.

Personally, I find the Ikea craft cart super practical because I have a good overview of the craft supplies and can take them everywhere; now my daughter can craft at her desk in the children's room, or I can in the living room in the evening. Everything is much clearer than in the boxes. I also always have everything together, such as scissors and glue or various pens.
