These dogs are characterized by a high urge to move. The sighthound is one of the fastest animals in the world. It needs a lot of exercise. It is used both for hunting and in dog racing.
Dachshunds, Spitz, and Co.
The dachshund belongs to the category of badger dogs, which flush out prey underground. As a house dog, it guards the house and yard. As the name suggests, the retriever must be challenged. It is used to independently flush out something in the field and bring it to its owner. The Spitz is divided into two breeds, the Asian and the European. The term primitive types refers to the house dog. This includes, among others, the sled dog, hunting dog, guard dog, and sheepdog. Scent hounds are used for hunting purposes. They track down injured game and have an irrepressible urge to move. The pointing dog is a versatile hunting dog.

Look around at breeders and in animal shelters. You will see that the dog chooses its new owner. It is just like with humans. The chemistry must be right to build a lifelong friendship between dog and human. The breed is only decisive for the expectations you have of your new companion.
