I must confess, I didn't even know about cherry stone pillows. I only became aware of them through acquaintances. I always used my hot water bottle as a home remedy. But what is the difference between the two? Which one is better?
Home remedies – hot water bottle or cherry stone pillow?
Hot water bottle
The traditional hot water bottle impresses with its truly long-lasting heat retention. If you fill it with hot water in the evening, it is usually still nice and warm in the morning. A disadvantage is that you have to be very careful that the cap is screwed on really tight, otherwise you can quickly burn yourself with the hot water. Furthermore, the hot water bottle is not as flexible and therefore not suitable for all parts of the body; it is best used for stomach or menstrual cramps. Hot water bottles are available in many different and also cozy designs.
Extra tip: The heat lasts even longer if you add 1 tsp salt to the hot water!

Cherry stone pillow
These are fabric bags filled with many cherry stones. They are heated in the oven or on the radiator. The clear advantage is the flexibility. The pillow adapts well and is therefore particularly good for a tense neck. The disadvantage is that they do not stay warm for as long. On average, they stay warm for about 1 hour.
