Carrera is launching a truly great Christmas gift at the end of November this year. With the new Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack, a forward-looking system expansion is coming to children's rooms for even more fun and action. We were allowed to conduct a product test in advance with our 7 1/2-year-old children. Here you will find our field report for the new Carrera racetrack.
The latest Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack

The new Carrera GO!!! Plus offers a 1:43 scale racetrack system for young racers aged 6 and up. Both the vehicles and the new track are completely compatible with the predecessor, Carrera GO!!!, and can be integrated. However, the track can also be used independently without the predecessor. As always, the tracks feature a handy plug-in system and have stable Easy Clip supports. The set includes an intersection, a fly-over, a loop, and the Pit-Stop-Game track. The pit stop station must be connected to a power supply using the included plug and cable.
The highlight is definitely the innovative connection track with an integrated speaker and Bluetooth chip, which brings skill games into the racing action via a Carrera GO!!! Plus app for iOS and Android.
Various new features are introduced with this new Carrera racetrack. The new connection track brings new racing modes into the life of a racer. In addition to the classic circuit race, wild chases can now also take place on the track. The newly designed hand controllers with a turbo button provide the necessary speed. But you don't miss out if you're playing alone: in the 1-player challenge mode, you compete against your own driving skills. This means that the intelligent ghost car programs and saves your completed lap. The new built-in speaker plays authentic engine and racing sounds, as well as cool action sounds, transforming the children's room into the Spielberg circuit.

With the free, matching Carrera app (Carrera GO!!! Plus App), young drivers can connect to the connection track via Bluetooth using a smartphone or tablet and try out action-packed and fun games. In addition to a lap counter, the app also offers great pit-stop games and an even wilder chase, in which an individually programmable chase time of 1-5 seconds is specified.
Of course, the new Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack can also challenge the racing skills of the little pilots without an app. With the new Carrera Pit Stop track, an action game is randomly selected in the middle of a race. Afterward, the junior racers must stop as quickly as possible in the designated stopping area on the Pit-Stop-Game track. Here, just like in a real race, the pilots must refuel, change tires, or even fix an engine failure to get the car back in shape and continue driving.
Field Report Carrera GO!!! Plus Racetrack

The large box is delivered well-sorted and with good instructions. The handy plug-in system with the stable Easy Clip supports was set up very quickly by us; even the children could help well, but it required the help of an adult for our 7.5-year-old children. The set is equipped with an intersection, a fly-over, a loop, and the Pit-Stop-Game track. The new hand controller fits well in the hand, and the 2 race cars are very well modeled after 'real' race cars.
After everything was set up very quickly (it took us about 20 minutes), we were ready to go. You have to get used to the speed and also to taking your foot off the gas at the right moment before curves, the loop, or the fly-over so that the car doesn't constantly crash through the guardrails. After this familiarization period (which took us about 20 minutes), our two children were unstoppable:
Because it is not 'baby-easy,' as my children like to say, the appeal remains. Both children, son and daughter, practiced laps for a whole evening after unpacking until the loops and fly-overs worked. My husband or I could hardly get our hands on the controller to try it out ourselves.
Our children definitely like the pit stop station on this track, as they have to change tires, refuel, etc., just like in real races, and can only continue driving afterward. You have to stop in the marked area (!) when a warning signal lights up. If a successful stop has been made, the car is automatically driven to the end of the pit stop station and the task to be solved starts.
- Fuel gauge lights up: When the tank is empty, the hand controller must be pressed until the fuel gauge goes out and all 5 bars light up again.
- Tire change lights up: For a tire change, the hand controller must be pressed 4 times; only then can you start again.
- Engine failure lights up: In the event of an engine failure, you must wait for the countdown over 5 light bars.
If you fail to stop in the marked area, a warning signal sounds and you must try to stop in the area again on the next lap. Laps driven where you did not stop do not count as completed laps, and only after solving the task is the racer back in the event.
For both of ours, racing against each other was, of course, another positive point. Our son also likes the speed – it is just the right amount of fast. Both like the 2 built-in inclines: the loop and the fly-over, which give the race that extra kick. Our daughter likes that you just have to drive the cars in the tracks and don't have to steer as well.
Costs for the Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack
The Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack is available from 11/28 online, as well as in the Carrera Online Shop! According to Amazon, the cost for the Carrera GO!!! Plus racetrack is currently € 79.99.
Our conclusion: This Carrera racetrack is definitely very well done. Through the pit stop track, attractive modern game expansions have been added, which were very well received by our children. I recommend this Carrera racetrack for boys AND girls aged 6 and up (and of course for adults who are young at heart and, like me, have not been able to resist the appeal of a Carrera racetrack for years).
