Every year there is a special day dedicated only to mothers: Mother's Day. And for this special day, you should also set the table in a special way. If you don't just want to put a large bouquet of flowers on the table, you will find a few ideas and suggestions here on how to surprise your mother with a beautifully set table.
Table decoration for Mother's Day
Choose two beautiful colors as base colors (perhaps even your mother's favorite color?), such as white with pink or white with red. Then choose the tablecloth and napkins from one of the base colors. I am using the colors white and red here.
Flowers should form the centerpiece, as most women love flowers very much. Of course, it is most beautiful if the table decoration is made with the mother's favorite flowers; otherwise, all kinds of spring flowers are naturally suitable in spring.
What you’ll need:
- Tablecloth in white or red
- Napkin in white or red
- white dishes
Table, dishes, and napkins
Cover the table with the tablecloth and place dishes and napkins on it. Roll the napkins and wrap them with a delicate ribbon in one of the base colors (knot at the bottom) and tuck a (favorite) flower between the napkin and the ribbon. If you like, you can also scatter small glass hearts on the table for all variations.
Wicker heart as a table centerpiece
What you’ll need:
- Wicker heart (available in garden centers, craft stores)
- Flowers (daisies, rose heads, wildflowers, etc.)
- possibly colorful autumn leaves
One possibility for a beautiful table centerpiece is a wicker heart decorated with flowers. To do this, decorate the wicker heart with self-picked flowers or your mother's favorite flowers. Tuck ivy vines into the wicker heart between the blossoms. Decorate the rest of the table with the remaining ivy vines and flowers.
Peony in a glass bowl
What you’ll need:
- Elegant, shallow glass bowl
- Flowers (e.g., bloomed peony, rose, gerbera, sunflower, etc.)
- Ivy vines, green leaves
Flowers in an elegant glass bowl are a wonderful eye-catcher. To do this, fill the glass bowl with some water. Let the large flower head float in it, as well as a few additional petals. Lay out the rest of the table with ivy vines and sprinkle with petals and green leaves.
Champagne glasses as vases
The variation where champagne glasses are used as vases is also very beautiful. To do this, fill a few champagne glasses with water and arrange beautiful flowers in them. Place the champagne glasses on the table in a circle or a heart shape.
And if a heart-shaped cake is then enthroned on the table, every mother will probably melt. I definitely would!
