This wedding game is about showing how well the couple knows each other, or rather, thinks they know each other. You really only need 2 chairs. If you like, you can also make 2 homemade signs, with 'Her' on one side and 'Him' on the other. However, it works more easily if the bride and groom each exchange one shoe and hold it in their hand.
Instructions for the wedding game: Compatibility game
The chairs are placed back to back, because the couple should not see each other. Then, either the signs are distributed or the shoes are exchanged. Now the questions can be asked; they should of course be as funny as possible, and they must clearly be answered with 'applies to the bride' or 'applies to the groom'. There should be about 20-30 questions. Here are a few suggestions:
- Who takes the longest in the bathroom?
- Who is the better driver?
- Who has the last word?
- Who made the first move when you met?
- Who decides what happens with the money?
- Who is the better cook?
- Who is better at parking?
- Who is the handyman in the house?
The bride and groom must then each indicate with the bride's or groom's shoe or with the sign who this applies to. It is important that the couple does not speak, because they should answer independently of each other. The correct answers are counted and, of course, there is an evaluation. Here is a suggestion for that too:
- 1-4: Oh dear, there is still a lot of relationship work to be done here
- 5-8: Pastoral counseling is urgently recommended for the couple
- 9-12: Every beginning is difficult, but it will work out
- 13-16: This will be a good average marriage
- 17-20: Very good conditions for a long future
- over 20: The couple can celebrate their golden wedding anniversary next year because they know and understand each other so well
A really funny game, especially for the audience, who can of course have a great time if the bride and groom disagree on some questions. We also played this at our wedding, but the result will not be revealed here 🙂
