Berries are something very special and are very popular in my family. For the children's birthday, I wanted to do something special again and I wanted a decoration with berries. After some research, I decided on cake decoration with strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and chocolate stripes. Here are my instructions for it:
Instructions for a cake decoration with chocolate and berries
I baked the cake the day before and let it cool down well overnight.
Ingredients for the decoration
- any cake (e.g.: Apple-vanilla cake, Quick cup cake, Quark vanilla cake)
- any berries (e.g., raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.)
- any chocolate (e.g., dark chocolate chips, grated white chocolate, etc.)
- Ladyfingers
Instructions
Bake the cake according to the instructions, fill it, and cover it with cream or chocolate. We decided on a Quark vanilla cake and decorated the sides with ladyfingers. Chill the cake well so that the cream becomes nice and firm.
Now arrange the berries and chocolate in stripes on top of the cake. We worked from left to right and started with dark chocolate chips. Sprinkle these in a stripe on the cake. Then 2 rows of raspberries, then grated white chocolate, strawberry halves, and finally blueberries. We also sprinkled a little chocolate in the gaps. This decoration was finished quite quickly and looks great.
